Ice Miller Lawyer Cora Steinmetz Named to Stanley K. Lacy Executive Leadership Class
Ice Miller lawyer Cora Steinmetz has been selected to participate in this year’s Stanley K. Lacey Executive Leadership (SKL) program. Steinmetz is one of 25 individuals in Indianapolis selected to participate in this highly competitive program, which seeks to expand the ranks of community leaders by teaching and motivating members to address the needs of Central Indiana.
Steinmetz was chosen based on her significant community involvement and professional achievement, her demonstrated interest in community issues, and her willingness to expand her leadership role in the community. As Of Counsel in the firm’s Government Affairs & Regulatory Law group, her in-depth knowledge and experience allow her to navigate the most complex issues across a wide array of legislative, regulatory, and legal landscapes in the health care sector.
Prior to joining the firm, Steinmetz was the director of the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning, where she was responsible for all aspects of strategic, administrative, policy, and financial operations. She has been integral in developing policy and strategy across Indiana and was awarded by Governor Eric Holcomb the state’s highest honor, the Sagamore of the Wabash award, for her dedication to the Hoosier state via efforts to improve the quality of life for its residents.
In its 49th year, the SKL Series began in 1976 to honor the memory of Indianapolis business leader Stanley K. Lacy by encouraging and supporting other young professionals in their community work. Since its inception, more than eleven hundred people have gone through the ten-month program and many significant Hoosier leaders are graduates of the program or have served as moderators, including Ice Miller lawyers and business professionals. SKL Class XLIX will meet monthly from September 2025 through June 2026.
