Ice Miller LLP is proud to announce that Eric Yoon has joined the firm’s Philadelphia office as a Partner in our Litigation Group. Yoon brings more than a decade of experience deepening the firm's litigation capabilities across the East Coast and expands its reach into international markets. His arrival reinforces the firm’s strategic growth in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions and its commitment to delivering sophisticated, right-sized legal counsel to mid-market clients.

At Ice Miller, Yoon will focus on expanding the firm's commercial litigation and international arbitration capabilities, with a particular emphasis on cross-border matters involving Korean companies. His client base spans real estate, aviation, financial services, pharmaceuticals, technology, manufacturing, and transportation. Yoon joins a growing litigation team and Asian-Pacific practice, that includes partner TaeSoo Sean Kim, whose established Korean-market relationships support our continued growth.

Yoon has successfully represented Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 financial services companies, as well as midsize and boutique finance firms nationwide. His experience includes mortgage servicing, financial technology, banking, and nonbank lending sectors. He has defended clients in class action lawsuits and mass tort actions involving consumer fraud, false advertising, and product liability claims, and has served as both outside counsel and in-house legal advisor for financial services companies.

Among his notable matters, Yoon has represented a major U.S. high-tech electronics manufacturing and digital media company before the Federal Maritime Commission on U.S. Shipping Act violation claims and represented a South Korean submarine fiber optic and power cable company in international arbitration involving an offshore wind power plant investment. He has also handled significant antitrust litigation, including defense of a dental supply company in private and public antitrust actions before the Federal Trade Commission.

Yoon is fluent in Korean and regularly assists Korean companies operating in the United States, as well as clients navigating foreign country judgment recognition and enforcement. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, and before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the District of New Jersey, and the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio.

He formerly served as Vice-Chair of the American Bar Association's Business Litigation General Committee of the Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section (TIPS), was a Board Member of Community Legal Services of Philadelphia, and an active member of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Pennsylvania and the Korean American Lawyers Association of Greater New York.

Yoon earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and his B.A., cum laude, from Colgate University.
