Joanne Goldhand is a partner in the Real Estate group. She has practiced transactional real estate law since 1988 on behalf of lenders and borrowers, developers and tenants, government and nonprofits. Having worked in-house and for the federal government and representing both sides of myriad types of real estate deals, Ms. Goldhand has a unique ability to weigh all parties' needs and reach a mutually beneficial solution. Her nine years at a retail developer give her a special insight into leasing. She has been a preferred real estate counsel to DSW and Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams since returning to the firm. Ms. Goldhand's deep experience with retail includes analysis of its changing landscape; she has presented several times on the challenging issues of e-commerce on leasing. Retail is less of her practice today as she is pivoting into power plant transactions. She was the primary real estate counsel in five power plant deals (three solar, one wind and one natural gas).
