Kevin P. Ewing is a partner within Ice Miller's Real Estate Practice Group and is based in the Firm's Indianapolis office.  Kevin has a broad range of real estate transactional experience and focuses his practice on commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, financings, refinancings, working capital loans, loan modifications, dispositions and joint ventures, with a particular focus on structuring and implementing Shari'ah compliant investment and financing structures.  Kevin also has experience with drafting and negotiating commercial real estate leases, property management agreements, leasing services agreements, asset management agreements and other real estate operational agreements.
 
Kevin has negotiated and documented numerous balance sheet and CMBS loans, many of which have been in connection with implementing Shari'ah compliant investment and financing structures, for a variety asset types throughout the United States, including multi-property portfolio acquisitions and mixed use assets. 
 
In addition, Kevin has experience in negotiating purchase and sale agreements for office, multi-family, assisted living and industrial assets, as well as bulk single family residential lot acquisitions and dispositions.
 
Kevin graduated from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business at Bloomington, Indiana. where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business with a major in finance–real estate and his Master of Business Administration with a major in finance and a minor in new venture and business development. He earned his juris doctor from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.   Kevin is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the International Business Honor Society.
 
Prior to joining Ice Miller, Kevin was Director, Transaction Management, US and an in-house attorney for the HDG Mansur group of companies in Indianapolis.  While at HDG Mansur, Kevin was responsible for all aspects of commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions and financings involving both traditional and Shari'ah compliant investment structures and served as an in-house legal advisor for a wide variety real estate and general corporate matters.
