Rani Amani is an associate in Ice Miller’s Litigation group. She represents clients in complex disputes in state and federal courts, with experience in commercial litigation, products liability, real estate and contract disputes, franchise matters, and appellate litigation.
Rani represents clients through all stages of litigation, from early case assessment and discovery through dispositive motions, hearings, settlement, trial, and appeal. Her experience includes managing complex discovery, working with fact and expert witnesses, taking and defending depositions, developing case strategy, and briefing significant dispositive and appellate issues. She also regularly works directly with clients to evaluate claims, assess litigation risk, and develop practical strategies for resolving disputes.
Rani has particular experience in complex legal research, persuasive written advocacy, and appellate practice. She has drafted briefs in state and federal appeals and represented clients in matters before the Indiana Court of Appeals and Indiana Supreme Court. She also has substantial experience with dispositive motion practice, including summary judgment briefing involving complex factual records and legal issues.
