Ice Miller Represents Korean Company in Investing $107 Million in Opening its United States Manufacturing Facility
Ice Miller represented South Korean-based aluminum manufacturer ALUKO Group in its United States expansion with the opening of a second manufacturing facility in West Tennessee. This project will bring new opportunities to local residents, strengthen the workforce, and support growth across the entire county.
The project is slated to create 285 new jobs in Lauderdale County and bring $107.7 million in investments to expand the company’s integrated aluminum manufacturing operations in Halls, Tennessee. This strategic investment is a significant milestone in ALUKO Group’s long-term North American strategy, establishing an eco-friendly supply chain for key American industries like electric vehicles (EVs), solar energy, and construction.
ALUKO Group has been at the forefront of Korea’s aluminum extrusion and nonferrous materials industry. Their product portfolio spans industrial applications, including display devices, mobile devices, vehicles, ships, solar module frames, and secondary battery cases, as well as construction materials such as aluminum sheets, curtain walls, and structural frameworks. The ALUKO Group consists of ALUKO, Hyundai Aluminium, Gogang Aluminium, Alutec, KPTU, Hyundai Aluminium Vina, and Alutec Vina.
