Program Description:

Despite significant legal and cultural developments, sexual harassment remains a persistent issue within the legal profession. This thought-provoking class examines the ongoing realities of harassment in legal workplaces and challenges the misconception that the problem has been fully resolved through legislation, policies, and professional education.
 
Drawing on nationwide survey data, relevant statutes, and key case law, the panel explores how sexual harassment continues to affect attorneys across a wide range of employment settings. The discussion also addresses the legal and ethical obligations attorneys and organizations face in responding to harassment, including considerations under applicable law and the Rules of Professional Conduct. In addition, you’ll learn about emerging initiatives and strategies aimed at promoting accountability and fostering safer, more equitable professional environments within the legal community.
