Meet the Speakers:

Edward Curtis, Guggenheim Fellow | Religion & American Life

Edward Curtis is the Plater Chair of the Liberal Arts and professor of world languages and cultures at IU Indianapolis. He is the author or editor of 15 books and founder of Arab Americana.

Fellowship focus: Arabic-speaking American religious life in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Gerard Magliocca, Guggenheim Fellow | Constitutional Law

Gerard Magliocca is the Jegen Professor of Law and an IU Distinguished Professor. He is the author of six books on constitutional law and the recipient of the Supreme Court Historical Society’s Griswold Prize.

Fellowship focus: The constitutional contributions of Indiana U.S. Sen. Birch Bayh.
