Ice Miller lawyers Catherine Strauss and Abigail Barr will be participating in a free event titled "Unions in the Workplace: Former NLRB Member Shares Insights on Recent Decisions" presented by the Ohio Chamber of Commerce. The firm is also a sponsor of the event.

The Ohio Chamber of Commerce is hosting former NLRB Board Member, Brian Hayes for a conversation on unionization in workplace. Attendees will hear from Brian, now a Shareholder at the law firm Ogletree Deakins, on the impact to employers of recent NLRB policy changes including potentially allowing for union elections by card check only, the formation of micro-unions, and the second guessing of employee handbook policies.

Following Brian’s remarks will be an employer roundtable where attendees will have the opportunity to gain insights and perspectives on union elections in the workplace from HR and legal teams at companies who recently faced a union vote. The event is pending CLE and SHRM credit and will take place virtually and in-person at the Ohio Chamber offices in Columbus, Ohio.
