Landon J. Scott

Landon Scott is Of Counsel in Ice Miller’s Business Group, where he focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private capital and financing transactions,  and corporate governance for sponsors, individual investors, founders, and management teams of closely held and lower middle market businesses. With nearly 10 years of experience, he represents clients in complex transactions across a variety of industries, including the health care, manufacturing, and distribution, providing practical business-minded counsel throughout the transaction lifecycle. Landon also serves as outside general counsel, collaborating with executive leadership to achieve growth and operational objectives.

Having served as in-house counsel to a large, high growth health system, Landon approaches transactions the way his clients do – with a practical focus on how a deal will operate post-closing and how legal risk maps to business operations – a perspective that carries through to his transactional, investment, and outside general counsel work.  As in-house counsel, Landon also provided legal support for all aspects of his client’s significant real estate and debt portfolios.

Landon’s practice includes acting as primary and supporting counsel on acquisitions, joint ventures, private capital investments, and other strategic initiatives. He leads transaction negotiations and documentation from initial letter of intent through post-closing integration and manages multidisciplinary due diligence teams.
