Four Ice Miller Leaders Recognized in 2025 List of Indiana’s 250 Most Influential
Ice Miller is pleased to announce that Michael Millikan, Lawren Mills, Melissa Proffitt, and Myra Selby were included in the 2025 edition of the Indiana 250, a list of the state’s most influential and impactful business and community leaders.
Developed and published by IBJ Media, Indiana 250 accepts nominations for leaders representing a variety of industries, including business, philanthropy, the arts, government, and not-for-profits. Selections for the list are made by IBJ Media editors and staff and consist of those individuals striving to make a difference locally, regionally, and across the state.
“My colleagues and I are once again proud to be named to this esteemed list of Indiana difference-makers,” said Millikan, Ice Miller’s chief managing partner. “We are one community, and together we can help lead our great state to an even brighter future.”
In addition to serving as chief managing partner, spearheading the firm’s exceptional growth over the last several years, Millikan focuses his practice on private equity and venture capital, as well as public-private partnerships and entrepreneurial companies. As part of his public-private partnership experience, Millikan has been involved in several significant projects, including the lease of the Indiana Toll Road and the negotiation of a long-term supply contract for the substitute of natural gas on behalf of the Indiana Finance Authority.
Mills is chair of the firm’s Government & Regulatory Affairs Practice Group. A successful multi-client lobbyist for over a decade, Mills concentrates her practice on state and federal public affairs management, including government procurement, legislative representation, public-private partnership coordination, and administrative law. She represents Fortune 500 companies, nonprofit corporations, associations, and government entities throughout various industries.
Proffitt is Ice Miller’s partner-in-charge of client relations, chairs the Food & Agribusiness Group and the Energy Group, and is former chair of the Employee Benefits Group. She is active in politics at both the local and national levels. Proffitt also participates on the boards of numerous community organizations and volunteers her time for causes supporting economic development, workforce, and diversity issues.
Selby, former associate justice of the Indiana Supreme Court, serves as Ice Miller’s Chief Equity & Inclusion Officer. She maintains a broad-based practice with a focus in the areas of corporate internal investigations, appellate practice, compliance counseling, complex litigation, risk management, strategic and other legal advice, based upon an understanding of the related business objectives, across various industry sectors.
The IBJ Indiana 250 is in its fourth year. Honorees were celebrated at an exclusive event at the International Motor Speedway on Thursday, July 23.
