Ice Miller, an Am Law 200-ranked law firm, is pleased to announce that Laurie Miller has been elected deputy managing partner.

Miller, based in the firm’s Chicago office, focuses her practice on corporate law, where she negotiates, manages, and completes complex financing arrangements, as well as M&A transactions on behalf of her clients.

As deputy managing partner, Miller is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the firm, including managing key client relationships, and acting as a key decision-maker.

Miller has been a member of Ice Miller’s Board of Directors since its establishment in 2019 and will succeed a retiring Rebecca Seamands. 

Ice Miller is also pleased to announce a new addition to the firm’s Board of Directors, elected by the partnership to serve a three-year term.

Catherine Strauss serves as office managing partner in the firm’s Columbus office. Strauss holds broad experience in labor and employment law. She is a counselor and advocate for employers with workforces in Ohio and across the United States with specific experience with federal and Ohio administrative and regulatory processes.

Heather James and Thomas Kesoglou have been reelected to the board for an additional term.

Aaron J. Dixon begins a new leadership role as Chair of Ice Miller’s Real Estate Group. Dixon assists clients across all areas of commercial real estate, including acquisitions and dispositions, finance, development, leasing, land use and zoning, entity structuring, and joint ventures.
