Indiana-based Am Law 200 firm Ice Miller is opening up an office in Miami after luring two transactional attorneys from Greenspoon Marder.

International transactions partner Jon Lyman is joining the new office to help the launch. He’s joined by Gai Sher, who served as senior counsel in the innovation and technology practice at Greenspoon Marder.

Like many firms that have opened offices in the Sunshine State, Ice Miller is simply following client demand.

“We've actually been targeting Miami for two years now. After COVID, a lot of our clients, especially from the northeast, have relocated to Florida and we started to just do a lot more business in South Florida, so we felt like having a presence down there made a lot of sense,” Ice Miller chief managing partner Michael Millikan said.
