Tim Ochs' primary practice concentration is in real estate law, including real estate development, land use and zoning, annexation, leasing, and real estate finance. He also is a member of the Firm's Food and Agribusiness Group and the Firm's Green Initiative.

He has substantial experience in renewable energy projects, including numerous wind farms, a solar farm and other alternative energy projects. He also has substantial experience representing municipalities in annexation matters.

He has been a faculty member for over 30 real estate seminars presented by the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum, the National Business Institute and the Professional Education Systems Institute, and he has served as the chair of the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum's Annual Real Estate Institute between 2009 and 2012, and has co-chaired the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum's annual Advanced Real Estate seminar for 2015, 2016 and 2017.

Tim was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. He earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering at Purdue University in 1989. He earned his juris doctor from Indiana University Maurer School of Law, cum laude, in 1992.

Tim joined Ice Miller in 1996 after practicing with a Fort Wayne, Indiana law firm for four years.

He is admitted to practice law in the state of Indiana.
