Ice Miller LLP announced today that Hamilton Smith has joined the firm's Government Affairs & Regulatory Law Group. Smith will focus on state legislative and executive branch lobbying, assisting clients with developing and implementing public policy strategies, state and federal government procurement, and public and government relations issue management.

Prior to joining Ice Miller, Smith served as senior operations director in the Office of Indiana Governor Eric J. Holcomb, where he helped lead the strategic development and implementation of state policy priorities and legislative agendas regarding health and human services.

Smith began his career as a legislative coordinator for the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration and was promoted to deputy legislative director while completing his law degree.

Based in Indianapolis, Smith joins recent addition Greg May, who is based in Columbus, Ohio, in Ice Miller's Government Affairs & Regulatory Law Group.
