Ice Miller Announces New 2026 Partners
Ice Miller is pleased to announce the following lawyers have been elevated to partner:
Nathan “Nate” Basalyga is a member of the firm’s Bankruptcy & Restructuring practice group and has experience representing debtors, creditors, committees and other major stakeholders in corporate bankruptcy proceedings and out-of-court restructurings.
Dan Durocher focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and general corporate matters. He negotiates and drafts all types of deal documents, including confidentiality agreements, indications of interest, letters of intent, asset purchase agreements, stock purchase agreements and various ancillary documents. He is also well-versed in performing legal due diligence and drafting related reports.
Molly Gwin is part of the firm’s Real Estate, Environmental & Energy Law (REEL) practice group, where she represents builders and developers with their real estate needs, including contract drafting and review, drafts of easements and related documents, zoning, land use and entitlements, tax increment financing and tax abatements, and negotiation of development agreements. She has successfully handled arbitration and real estate litigation as well.
Tyler Hardcastle represents clients in multiple aspects of real estate transactions including entity structuring, private equity funds, upper-tier investments, and joint ventures. His practice includes facilitating transactions with low-income housing or renewable energy tax credits, as well as market rate transactions without such credits.
Robert Keeler is a trusted counselor and tenacious litigator in the fields of patent and trademark law. He assists clients across a wide array of industries—including medical devices, automotive, aerospace, rail, consumer products, software and artificial intelligence, chemistry, battery technology, solar power and electricity distribution, and robotics—guiding clients through the complex terrain of intellectual property litigation and prosecution.
James “Jim” Smolik is a member Ice Miller’s Business Group, where his practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and corporate finance. He represents private equity funds, mezzanine debt funds, independent sponsors, and family offices in all stages of their corporate life cycle. Jim also counsels clients in matters relating to pre-incorporation planning, joint ventures, and outside general counsel services.
