Ice Miller Strengthens Baltimore Presence with Major Office Expansion

June 5, 2025

Downtown Base First Established in 2023

The national law firm of Ice Miller has expanded its Baltimore office, reinforcing its commitment to the city’s central business district. The firm recently signed a lease for an additional 6,000 square feet in the prestigious 100 Light Street tower, increasing its total space to 11,000 square feet. This expansion supports Ice Miller’s rapidly growing workforce in Charm City, which has more than quadrupled since the office launched just a few years ago.

By expanding its presence in downtown Baltimore, Ice Miller marks a major milestone in its East Coast growth strategy. Now occupying most of the 27th floor in the iconic 100 Light Street building—its home since spring 2023—the firm enjoys sweeping views of the Inner Harbor and downtown. The new space positions Ice Miller to host clients and community events while housing the resources required to deliver premier legal services across the Mid-Atlantic and beyond, with ample room for future growth. This expansion enhances Ice Miller’s established footprint and service capabilities along the Northeast Corridor.

Leadership and Decades of Experience

Ice Miller Baltimore Office Managing Partner Kevin Hroblak, a distinguished business litigator with more than 25 years of experience, leads the team. Hroblak represents companies, individuals, trustees, boards of directors, and corporate officers in litigation and investigations involving director and officer liability, mismanagement, business fraud, professional liability insurance disputes, auditing and accounting malpractice, and other business-related, restructuring, and bankruptcy matters. Though based in Baltimore, Hroblak is also admitted in New York and Washington, D.C., and maintains a national practice, leading cases in state and federal courts across the country and bringing a broad perspective to clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic and beyond.

“Our Baltimore team has grown by leaps and bounds since our core team arrived in 2023,” said Hroblak. “And headcount is just one area. We’ve significantly expanded the legal services we offer to both local and national organizations and business entities. Our team of legal and business professionals work seamlessly to provide a deep and wide breadth of resources and services to the clients we serve.  We intend on continuing to grow now that we have our expanded space.”

Team and Services

Hroblak works alongside a distinguished group of partners in the Baltimore office. Edward Buxbaum represents numerous national companies in civil litigation and serves as outside coverage counsel for several regional insurers. Aaron Casagrande’s practice spans a broad array of business and commercial matters, including bankruptcy, governance litigation, business fraud, and antitrust. Aaron Nichols focuses on complex business and litigation matters, advising clients on antitrust and trade regulation, class actions, insurance coverage and defense, intellectual property, trade secrets, shareholder disputes, fiduciary duty breaches, and contract breaches. Tiffany Releford leverages her human resources background to navigate complex employment issues, including separation, hiring, disability, and discrimination. She also conducts workplace investigations and provides training on equal employment opportunity laws. Michael Stroud is a seasoned lobbyist and government relations counsel with experience providing services to ports, transportation companies, international trade companies, and campaigns. Josh Borean’s practice includes representation of early and growth-stage companies raising capital through seed and venture capital financing, as well as a transactional corporate practice and software licensing work.

This team is supported by Baltimore associates Michael Collins Jr. and Morgan Taylor, and of counsel Amber Littlejohn, as well as Ice Miller Director of Litigation Support and Practice Technology Alicia Logan, Director of Knowledge Resource Services Rachel Englander, and other business professionals.

Ice Miller continues to explore future East Coast expansion opportunities as they develop, offering its distinguishing class of legal acumen and insight to this critical market.
