Laurie Miller Featured in Law360: "Ice Miller Names New Deputy Managing Partner"
Ice Miller deputy managing partner Laurie Miller was quoted in the Law360 article, “Ice Miller Names New Deputy Managing Partner.”
The article included:
Chicago-based Laurie Miller, who has been with Ice Miller for 17 and a half years, was elected deputy managing partner at the start of January, succeeding Rebecca Seamands, according to the firm's Thursday announcement.
Miller has been with Ice Miller since 2007. She told Law360 Pulse Friday that she had taken an atypical path to partnership, initially requesting an alternative work arrangement under which she chose not to be on a partnership track before changing that decision. She said the change reflects well on the firm's culture and flexibility in career development.
"I am very honored to serve Ice Miller in the role of deputy managing partner," Miller said. "The firm has provided me with outstanding opportunities to expand my practice, as well as grow as an attorney and leader. My career path to partnership was not what most at the time would have considered to be typical, but it was never a hindrance in my career at Ice Miller. I am very proud to be deputy managing partner of a firm with such a strong culture."
