Ice Miller chief managing partner Michael Millikan was quoted in the Crain's Cleveland Business article, "Ice Miller recruits UB Greensfelder team to open Cleveland office."

Ice Miller LLP has recruited a team of attorneys from UB Greensfelder to launch a new outpost in Cleveland.

With this new location, Indianapolis-based Ice Miller marks its second Ohio office – in addition to Columbus, which is the firm's second-largest market outside its headquarters – and the 11th overall in its growing footprint.

"We looked at various opportunities in Cleveland the past couple years," Michael Millikan, chief managing partner for Ice Miller, told Crain's. "We were sort of looking at where the talent is and if that talent could support our certain growth initiatives, because we really hadn't found the right group to start an office here."

That is, he said, until the firm connected with Daniel Gottesman, a nearly 15-year veteran with UB Greensfelder and its local predecessor firm, Ulmer & Berne, which merged with Greensfelder Hemker & Gale of St. Louis in 2024.
