Taryn Stone is a partner and chair of the firm's Health Care Group, concentrating her practice on various aspects of health law. She represents various providers and suppliers of health care services including for-profit, non-profit and governmental health systems, hospitals, physicians, long-term care providers, and medical device manufacturers on transactional and regulatory issues, including structuring complex health care arrangements under the Stark and Anti-Kickback laws, the formation, operation and sale of physician group practices, negotiating contracts, employment matters, and other business arrangements between providers, manufacturers and other entities.
Taryn’s health care transactional practice includes the representation of buyers and sellers in transactions ranging from the sale or purchase of physician practices to multi-hospital health system transactions. She represents health systems, hospitals, long-term care facilities, ambulatory surgery centers, and physician groups as buyers and sellers in the full range of corporate transactions including mergers, asset and equity purchases, strategic alliances and affiliations, joint operating agreements, and management agreements.
She also has extensive experience in health care related private equity and venture capital investments. Taryn has represented clients in transactions involving pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, biotechnology, medical and dental practice management companies, health care IT, contract research organizations, clinical research sites, clinical laboratories, and ambulatory surgery centers.
