Evan H. Cernea

Associate

Evan Cernea represents clients in global outsourcing, commercial contracts, and technology matters. As an associate in the firm’s Business group, Evan drafts and negotiates a broad range of agreements, including software licenses (cloud and on-premises), Software-as-a-Service and other cloud services agreements, IT security strategies, strategic alliances, and data privacy policies.

As a member of the Software, eCommerce, and Technology Transactions (SeCT) team, Evan counsels clients on the legal and commercial aspects of technology, intellectual property, and data privacy issues in M&A transactions. Evan has experience guiding clients through a range of commercial transactions, including distribution, logistics, and professional services agreements.

Prior to joining Ice Miller, Evan was an associate at a large national law firm, where he assisted clients across industries with a variety of commercial and corporate transactions. During law school, Evan served as the editor-in-chief of the Georgetown Law Technology Review. Additionally, he worked as an Access to Justice Fellow with Philadelphia’s First Judicial District’s Elder Justice & Civil Resource Center to develop, code, and deploy a web application to help pro se defendants understand and fill out the appropriate forms required to contest eviction actions.
