This intermediate-to-advanced legal course is designed for experienced M&A advisors who want to more effectively manage the due diligence process while coordinating closely with legal and accounting professionals. Presented from an attorney’s perspective, the session focuses on structuring and controlling diligence to promote transparency, preserve privilege, and surface material issues early. Topics include advanced diligence planning, effective use of data rooms, accepted legal and accounting collaboration frameworks, and common legal pitfalls that can escalate into deal killers if not properly managed. Attendees will gain practical guidance on identifying legal risk, facilitating productive professional dialogue, and keeping transactions moving efficiently toward closing with fewer surprises.
