Ice Miller announced today that Jim Boyer has joined the firm as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO). At one time a practicing lawyer at an Am Law 25 firm, Boyer brings with him a uniquely panoramic perspective of law firm business operations and a reputation as a groundbreaking tech innovator, as well as an extensive understanding of law firm information technology needs and how to implement client-facing solutions to meet those needs. His knowledge of how law firms operate and his legal background provide him with deep and broad insight into the necessities and opportunities inherent in providing innovative and user-friendly technology, timely access to critical data and insights, and the need for information security, as well as a strong IT infrastructure.

In his new role at Ice Miller, Boyer will spearhead the process to evaluate and strengthen the firm’s internal and external client-facing technology capabilities, leveraging cutting-edge tools to enhance client service and promote business growth.

Boyer, based in the firm’s Philadelphia office, is a former practicing lawyer with a depth of knowledge and approach to technology solutions that have yielded award-winning business process improvements across the industry. He received his bachelor’s degree from Ursinus College and his juris doctor from Temple University – James E. Beasley School of Law.
