Innovative Commercial Transactions Partner Returns to Ice Miller
Former Quarles & Brady Lawyer Will Focus on Real Estate and Finance
Ice Miller is pleased to announce the return of veteran transactions partner Amanda Morton to its Indianapolis and Naples offices, where she will continue to grow her national practice representing lenders, developers, universities, Fortune 500 companies, startups, and small and family-owned businesses in a variety of real estate and finance matters. A member of the firm’s Real Estate, Environmental & Energy Law (REEL) practice group, Morton will continue to provide innovative and client-centered representation on commercial transactions across a wide range of industries.
Morton counsels clients on purchase and sale transactions, leases, easements, title insurance, and development projects involving all types of commercial properties, including multifamily and mixed-use developments, retail and office projects, military and university housing, off-campus student housing, and healthcare facilities such as hospitals and medical office buildings.
“With Ice Miller’s expanding growth and national footprint, a reunion with Amanda made sense for all parties, and we are happy to welcome her back into the fold,” said Real Estate, Environmental & Energy Law (REEL) Practice Group Leader Aaron Dixon. “Her versatility in the world of transactions and breadth of experience is a differentiator in the legal sector, and she will add immediate and important value to clients across a wide range of industries.”
Morton also represents lenders in a wide range of financing transactions, including real estate–backed loans, syndicated and portfolio loans, borrowing base modifications, loan assumptions, defeasances, mezzanine financing, and construction lending.
In addition, her practice further extends to corporate and business matters, where she counsels clients on mergers, entity formation, buy-sell agreements, asset purchases, corporate transitions, affiliate relationships, and international contracts and compliance issues.
“I know first-hand the level of dedication and client service my Ice Miller colleagues bring to the table,” said Morton. “Likewise, I am equally cognizant of the weight that collaboration and entrepreneurial spirit carry across the firm. This dovetails perfectly with my vision for my own practice and the comprehensive support I strive to offer clients, so I am thrilled to call Ice Miller home once again.”
Morton earned her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in political science from Wake Forest University, and received her J.D., cum laude, from the Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law.
