Ice Miller is pleased to announce that Kyle Finnegan, a partner in the firm's Litigation and White Collar Defense & Investigations practice groups, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the International Cannabis Bar Association (INCBA) for the 2026–2028 term.

Kyle was among five attorneys elected to the board following a membership-wide vote, joining a group of leaders shaping the future of cannabis law. He was elected alongside Zachary Kobrin (reelected) of Saul Ewing LLP, Steven Okoroha of Lawyer Up Legal Services, Jason Moscovici of Provisions Legal Services Inc., and Jason C. Adelstone of Harris Sliwoski LLP.

The INCBA is the world's leading professional association dedicated to cannabis law, with a mission to educate and connect cannabis industry lawyers for the purpose of providing excellent, ethical, and advanced legal assistance to this growing industry.

Kyle joins the Board with substantial institutional knowledge of INCBA. An INCBA member since 2023, he has served as the association's CLE Committee Chair since 2025 and chaired several of its flagship educational programs, including Cannabis Law Sessions 2024 and the Cannabis Law Institute in both 2025 and 2026. He also serves as Content Chair for the upcoming Cannabis Law Sessions 2026 at MJBizCon in Las Vegas.

At Ice Miller, Kyle's practice focuses on litigation and internal investigations in heavily regulated industries, including cannabis and marijuana-related businesses, financial services, health care, insurance, and publicly traded companies. He counsels clients through high-stakes commercial disputes, regulatory compliance matters, and government inquiries, and is a recognized thought leader on cannabis litigation trends, most recently authoring the firm's 2025 Cannabis Litigation Retrospective.

His election reflects Ice Miller's commitment to the cannabis industry. The firm's national Cannabis Group has advised businesses, governments, investors, banks, and innovators for nearly a decade, offering full-service, multidisciplinary support across litigation, corporate transactions, real estate, financial services, labor and employment, and government affairs.
