Ice Miller is pleased to announce that partners Michael Millikan, Melissa Proffitt, and Lawren Mills, were included in the second edition of the Indiana 250, a list of the state’s most influential and impactful business and community leaders. 

Developed and published by IBJ Media, the Indiana 250 accepts nominations for leaders representing a variety of industries, including business, philanthropy, the arts, government, and not-for-profits. Selections for the list are made by IBJ Media editors and staff and consist of those individuals striving to make a difference locally, regionally, and across the state.

Michael Millikan serves as the chief managing partner of Ice Miller. He focuses his practice on private equity and venture capital, as well as public-private partnerships and entrepreneurial companies. In his public-private partnership experience, Millikan has been involved in several significant projects, including the lease of the Indiana Toll Road and the negotiation of a long-term supply contract for the substitute of natural gas on behalf of the Indiana Finance Authority.

Melissa Proffitt is Ice Miller’s partner-in-charge of client relations and chairs the firm’s Food & Agribusiness Group and Energy Group. Recently named a 2023 Indiana Historical Society Living Legend, Proffitt is active in both local and national politics, and she holds many board leadership positions, including chair of the Indy Chamber and vice chair of the Indiana Black Expo. She also volunteers for causes supporting economic development, diversity, and women's issues.

Lawren Mills is chair of the firm’s Public Affairs Practice Group. A successful multi-client lobbyist for over a decade, Lawren concentrates her practice on state and federal public affairs management, including government procurement, legislative representation, public-private partnership coordination, and administrative law. She represents Fortune 500 companies, nonprofit corporations, associations, and government entities throughout various industries.
